MLB – The Cleveland Indians Beat The Tigers

The Cleveland Indians beat the Tigers and Justin Verlander 11 to 8 yesterday to wrap up the weekend series at Comerica Park.

Verlander did not have a good outing.

He gave up 7 runs on 9 hits with no strikeouts and 3 walks in just 3 and 1/3 innings of work.

Over all the Tigers gave up 14 hits.

Dixon Machado was 2 for 4 at the plate with 2 runs scored.


The Tigers are off today.

Tomorrow they start a 3 game series with the San Francisco Giants at Comerica Park.


Michael Fulmer will start the Fourth of July game for the Tigers and the Giants will send Matt Cain

to the mound.

Game time is 1:10.

It was announced yesterday that Michael Fulmer is the only Tiger chosen to play in next week’s All-Star Game in Miami.

The 24-year old right-hander – who was the rookie of the year in 2016 – is 7 and 6 with a 3.19 era in 15 starts this season.
