MLB – The Tigers Lose Opener To The Yankees – No More Trades For The Tigers Before Trading Deadline

Posted on August 1, 2017 in Professional Sports News.

The Tigers fell to the New York Yankees, 7 to 3, in the opener of a mid- week series in the Bronx.

It was a rough night for Michael Fulmer, who was rocked for 7 runs in just 6 innings of work last night.

Catcher James McCann had a pair of hits and drove in a run to lead the Tigers’ offensive attack.

The series continues tonight.

Anibal Sanchez gets the start for Detroit and C.C. Sabathia goes to the mound for the Yankees.

The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05

Baseball’s trading deadline came and went on Monday without the Tigers making another deal.

There were two trades of note yesterday though: the New York Yankees acquired right-hander Sonny

Gray from the Oakland A’s and the Los Angeles Dodgers got right- hander Yu Darvish in a trade with the Texas Rangers.
