MLB – The Tigers Lose Because Of Late Grand Slam

Jed Lowrie hit a grand slam in the eight inning and that powered the Oakland A’s to a 9 to 8 victory over the Detroit Tigers yesterday at Comerica Park.

Chad Bell was the starter for the Tigers.

He went 3 and 1/3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, striking out 5 and walking 3.

Alex Wilson was the loser in relief.

He gave up that eighth inning grand slam.

Nick Castellanos had another good night at the plate.

Castellanos was 2 for 5 with a home run and 2 RBI’s.

Ian Kinsler and Alex Presley also went deep for the Tigers.


The series wraps up with a day game today.

Daniel Mengden will start for the A’s and the Tigers will send Anibal Sanchez to the mound.

The first pitch is scheduled for 1:10.
