The Detroit Tigers extended their winning streak to 3 after they swept the Chicago White Sox by shutting them out 1 – 0, in yesterday’s finale of a 3 game weekend series in Chicago.
Mike Fiers – making his first start of the season – picked up the victory.
He limited the White Sox to just 3 hits – while striking out 6 – over six innings.
Miguel Cabrera drove in Leonys Martin from 3rd base with a sacrifice fly for the games only run.
The Tigers now travel to Cleveland for a 4 game series with the Indians starting tonight.
The first pitch is scheduled for 6:10.
