Grand Valley State athletics announced today its plans for the #GOGVSU Road Trip presented by American RV. The GVSU social media campaign will focus on the trip to Houghton, Michigan for a GLIAC football contest versus the Michigan Tech Huskies. The digital media team will travel in an RV, courtesy of American RV, while communicating with fans through Grand Valley State athletics’ official social media outlets. The #GOGVSU Road Trip presented by American RV will officially start Thursday, September 27th and end Sunday, Sept. 30.

“We are excited to showcase our football program and Grand Valley State University to Northern Michigan and interact with our fans along the way, said Doug Lipinski, Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing. We will feature a ‘things to do’ on the way and will also talk with GVSU alumni that live on our route to Houghton.”

The #4 Laker football team will square off versus the Huskies on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.

Listed below are the planned stops for the #GOGVSU Road Trip presented by American RV:

Thursday, Sept. 27 –
• 8:00 a.m. Depart from GVSU Football Center
• 10:00 a.m. Arrive in Cadillac – Events TBA
• 12:00 noon Depart Cadillac
• 3:00 p.m. Arrive in Gaylord for TreeTops Feature
• 6:00 p.m. Alpine Tavern Feature in Gaylord
• 7:30 p.m. Depart for Mackinaw City
• 9:00 p.m. Arrive at Clarion Hotel Beachfront in Mackinaw City

Friday, Sept. 28 –
• 8:15 a.m. Mackinaw City/Clarion Hotel Beachfront/Pancake Chef Feature
• 10:00 a.m. Depart for Newberry
• 12:00 p.m. Arrive in Newberry for Tahquamenon Fall Brewery & Pub feature
• 2:00 p.m. Depart for Marquette
• 5:00 p.m. Arrive in Marquette for parade/Vango’s Pizza feature
• 7:00 p.m. Depart for Houghton
Saturday, Sept. 29 –
• All Day Game Day feature on Laker Football, Houghton, Michigan Tech and the football game.
