The Detroit Tigers look to take a commanding lead in the American League Championship Series when they host the New York Yankees in Game Three tonight.

Game time at Comerica Park is 8:00 p.m.

The next three games of the best-of-seven series will be in Detroit.

The Tigers took a 2-0 lead in the series after winning both games in New York.

Anibal Sanchez struck out seven over seven shutout innings as the Tigers blanked the Yankees 3-0 in Game Two on Sunday.

Justin Verlander gets the start in Game Three for the Tigers. Verlander is 2-and-0 with a 0.56 ERA this postseason.

The Yankees will counter with Phil Hughes, who gave up just one run in six-and-two-thirds innings in a no-decision in Game Four of the ALDS.
