The NHL has rejected the latest offer from the Players’ Association and talks between the two sides have now been suspended indefinitely.
The sides met for an hour after meeting for nearly 20 hours over the previous two days. The sides reportedly exchanged proposals on Wednesday.
The NHLPA then submitted a counter-offer on Thursday, but the owners quickly shot it down.
The lockout is nearing the three-month mark and has already forced the cancellation of more than one-third of the regular season games, the Winter Classic and NHL All-Star Weekend.
