New England scored on its first three possessions and never looked back, cruising to a 42-14 win over Houston on “Monday Night Football.”
Tom Brady threw for 296 yards with four touchdowns, including two to Aaron Herndandez.
Herndandez had eight catches for 58 yards while Brandon Lloyd added seven catches for 89 yards with a receiving touchdown and a fumble recovery for a TD.
Stevan Ridley finished with 72 yards and a touchdown on the ground as the Patriots improved to 10-and-3.
Matt Schaub passed for 232 yards and an interception for the Texans while Andre Johnson made eight catches for 95 yards.
Arian Foster had 46 yards and a TD on the ground for Houston, which still holds the AFC’s best record at 11-and-2.
