Bears Beat Lions – Miss Playoffs

Jay Cutler threw for 257 yards and a touchdown as the Chicago Bears held on for a 26-24 win over the Detroit Lions yesterday afternoon at Ford Field, handing the Lions their eighth-straight loss.

Matthew Stafford threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns with an interception, as the Lions finished the season with a disappointing 4-and-12 record.

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson finished the season with a NFL-record 1,964 yards, just shy of the 2,000 marker.

The Chicago defense forced four turnovers as the Bears finished the season at 10-and-6.

They were eliminated from the playoffs after Minnesota beat Green Bay.
