The Ravens Justin Tucker kicked a 61-yard field goal with 38 seconds left in the game as Baltimore downed the Detroit Lions 18-16 last night at Ford Field.
Detroit scored touchdowns on both its opening and final drives, but couldn’t complete a two-point conversion after their last trip to the end zone.
Matthew Stafford was 18-of-34 passing for 235 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions, with his last pass picked off by the Ravens to seal the win.
Calvin Johnson had six catches for 98 yards and Reggie Bush had 86 yards on 17 carries with a touchdown.
The loss drops the Lions to 7-and-7 and to third place in the NFC North.
Detroit hosts the New York Giants on Sunday, and will close out the regular season in Minnesota against the Vikings on the 29th.
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy says the team is planning for Matt Flynn to start for the fourth straight game this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Aaron Rodgers continues to recover from a fractured collarbone.
McCarthy said Rodgers’ situation will be evaluated Wednesday morning.
The Packers have won two in-a-row under Flynn to improve to 7-6-and-1 on the season. Green Bay is just a half-game back in the NFC North and will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on sunday.
