The Michigan Tech women’s basketball game at Ashland Saturday (Jan. 11) will be televised live nationally on the CBS Sports Network. Tipoff is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
The teams are currently leading their respective divisions in the GLIAC (Tech 6-0 in the North; Ashland 4-2 in the South). The Huskies and Eagles, who last met in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, have combined to win the last five NCAA Midwest Regionals and last four GLIAC Tournaments.
The game will be Tech’s third national appearance in women’s basketball. The other two were the 2011 NCAA Tournament Semifinal vs. Northwest Missouri State (Mar. 23, 2011) on ESPNU and the 2011 NCAA Championship Game vs. Clayton State (Mar. 25, 2011).
