It’s the first Super Bowl appearance for Denver since winning Super Bowl 32 and 33 back-to-back.
Malcolm Smith intercepted Colin Kaepernick on a deflected pass with 22 seconds to play, sealing the Seahawks’ 23-17 win over the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game from Seattle.
The Seahawks picked off Kaepernick twice and forced him to fumble once.
Marshawn Lynch ran for 109 yards and a touchdown while Russell Wilson threw for 215 yards and a score.
Doug Baldwin caught six passes for 106 yards while Jermaine Kearse had a TD catch.
Seattle is headed to its second Super Bowl. They lost to the Steelers in Super Bowl 40.
