MLB – The Detroit Tigers Win On Opening Day

The Detroit Tigers opened the 2015 season with a 4-0 win over the Minnesota Twins yesterday at Comerica Park.

Starter David Price earned his first win of the season, scattering five hits while striking out five in eight and two third innings.

Joe Nathan struck out former Detroit outfielder Torii Hunter to end the game and notch his first save.

J.D. Martinez hit a solo home run in the second and later in the inning Alex Avila added a two-run shot.

Anibal Sanchez is slated to make his first start of the year for the Tigers tomorrow afternoon against the Twins’ Ricky Nolasco.
