NHL – The Detroit Red Wings Begin Stanley Cup Play Tonight

The Detroit Red Wings begin their run in the playoffs tonight in Game One against the Lightning in Tampa Bay.

The opening face-off is at 7:30 p.m.

Earlier this week, head coach Mike Babcock said 23-year-old Petr Mrazek will start in goal to begin the first round.

Mrazek, defenseman Alexey Marchenko and forwards Teemu Pulkkinen and Landon Ferraro will all be making their playoff debuts against the Lightning.

Game Two will be played in Tampa Bay Saturday, before the series moves to Detroit for Game Three and Game Four next week.
