NHL – The Detroit Red Wings And Tampa Bay Lightening Play Game Three Tonight

The Detroit Red Wings and the Tampa Bay Lightning face off at Joe Louis Arena tonight in Game Three of their best-of-seven first round playoff series.

The opening face off is at 7:00 p.m.

Detroit took the first game 3-2 last Thursday, while Tampa Bay evened the series with a 5-1 win on Saturday.

Head coach Mike Babcock said yesterday that defenseman Brendan Smith will replace rookie Alexey Marchenko tonight.

Smith has been a healthy scratch for the last three games.

Netminder Petr Mrazek will remain in goal and forward Justin Abdelkader will be on the ice tonight for the first time since he injured his hand earlier this month blocking a shot against Minnesota.
