NHL – The Detroit Red Wings Are Eliminated From Stanley Cup Play

Braydon Coburn broke a scoreless tie in the third period as the Tampa Bay Lightning eliminated the Detroit Red Wings, 2-0, in game seven of their east quarterfinal series at Amalie arena last night.

Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop made 31 saves for the shutout.

The Red Wings were eliminated in the first round for the second straight year.

The Lightning will play the Atlantic Division-champion Montreal Canadiens in the semifinal series that begins Friday at the Bell Centre.
