Curry earned 100-of-130 first-place votes to beat out James Harden of the Houston Rockets in what was the closest second-place finish in four years.
LeBron James came in third in his first season back with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Curry led Golden State to a league-best 67-and-15 record during the regular season.
He averaged 23.8 points on nearly 49-percent shooting with 7.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds.
