The Tigers let a late lead slip away as they lost to the White Sox 7-6 last night in Chicago.
Starting pitcher Alfredo Simon got a no decision, giving up three runs on five hits over five innings while Joba Chamberlain was tagged with the loss.
Chamberlain entered the game in the eighth inning with Detroit leading 6-3, but he was charged with four runs on six hits as Chicago took the lead for good.
Victor Martinez had four RBIs, including a two run homerun in the third inning.
The Tigers try to avoid the sweep in this afternoon’s series finale.
Detroit sends Kyle Lobstein to the mound, while Chicago will start Jose Quintana.
