The Chicago Blackhawks are into the Western Conference Finals for the third straight year, while Montreal is still alive in the East.
Marian Hossa’s shorthanded empty net goal with 3:07 left held up as the Blackhawks beat the Wild 4-3 at Xcel Energy Center.
Chicago, who is seeking their second Stanley Cup title in three years and third in the last six, will face the winner of the Anaheim-Calgary matchup next.
The Ducks lead that series 2-1.
Meanwhile, the Canadiens beat the Lightning 6-2 in Tampa to avoid the sweep and force a Game Five back in Montreal on Saturday.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs roll on with two games tonight.
The Capitals look to finish off the Rangers in Game Five of their East semifinal set in New York, while the Ducks face the Flames in Game Four in Calgary.
