MLB – The Detroit Tigers Avoid A Series Sweep In Chicago

The Tigers avoided a series sweep by the White Sox with a 4-1 win in Chicago yesterday.

Kyle Lobstein earned his third victory of the year

He gave up one run on five hits while striking out three in seven and two third innings.

Joakim Soria notched his 11th save, pitching one and one third innings of scoreless ball in relief.

Victor Martinez went three-for-four at the plate and had an RBI and Miguel Cabrera and Nick Castellanos each batted in a run.

Tonight Detroit opens up a six-game homestand with a series against Kansas City.

David Price gets the start for the Tigers and Yordano Ventura will go to the mound for the Royals.

First pitch is 7:08 p.m.
