Miguel Cabrera had two home runs and five RBI’s.
Nick Castellanos had a solo shot and Bryan Holaday added a two run homer.
J.D. Martinez, who left Wednesday’s game with back tightness, was in the lineup yesterday and went two-for-four at the plate.
Anibal Sanchez notched his third win of the season giving up one run on five hits while striking out nine in eight innings.
Detroit opens a three game weekend series in St. Louis tonight.
First pitch is 8:15 p.m.
Shane Greene is slated to get the start for the Tigers and Carlos Martinez goes to the mound for the Cardinals.
