MLB – The Detroit Tigers Top The Milwaukee Brewers – Avoid The Sweep

The Detroit Tigers salvaged the final game of their series with the Brewers, topping Milwaukee 5-2 last night at Comerica Park.

Nick Castellanos went two-for-four at the plate with four RBIs and broke a two-all tie with a bases loaded triple in the eighth inning.

Starter Shane Greene got a no-decision.

He went six and one third innings, surrendering two runs on three hits and striking out six.

Blaine Hardy got the win in relief while Joakim Soria earned his 13th save of the season.

Detroit opens a four-game series with the Houston Astros this afternoon.

First pitch is 1:08 p.m.

David Price will take the mound for the Tigers and the Astros will counter with Scott Feldman.
