MLB – The Detroit Tigers Finish First Half On A Tough Note

The Detroit Tigers head into the All-Star break with three-straight losses, as they fell to the Minnesota Twins 7-1 yesterday.

Shane Greene was rocked for seven runs in less than five innings.

Marc Krauss knocked in the only run for Detroit, who now sits third place in the AL Central at 44-and-44.

Miguel Sano smacked a two-run homerun.

Trevor Plouffe also went deep and Danny Santana added a two-run triple for the Twins, who took three of four in the series to end the first half of the season in second place with a 49-and-40 record.

Detroit is four-and-a-half games behind the second-place Twins and eight games behind the first-place Royals.

The Tigers begin a seven-game home stand Friday against Baltimore.
