MLB – The Detroit Tigers Give Another One Away

Posted on July 24, 2015 in Professional Sports News.

Mike Zunino doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of the 12th inning to lift the Seattle Mariners to a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.

Kyle Seager hit a solo homer and Robinson Cano scored on a fielding error as Seattle earned a split of the four-game series.

Starter David Price struck out seven over eight-plus innings of five-hit, two-run ball in a no-decision.

Ian Krol was saddled with the loss.

Victor Martinez had a two-run double in the first inning for the Tigers, who fell to a game under .500 again.

The Tigers begin a three game series against the Reds Sox tonight.

First pitch is 7:10.

Justin Verlander, still searching for his first win, will take the mound for Detroit, up against former Tiger Rick Porcello of the Sox.
