MLB – Daniel Norris Wins His Major League Debut

Posted on August 3, 2015 in Professional Sports News.

Daniel Norris threw seven-and-a-third innings of one-run ball in his Tigers debut as they rolled past the Orioles, 6-1, at Camden Yards Sunday afternoon.

Norris allowed just four hits and struck out five to pick up the win.

J.D. Martinez clubbed a three-run homerun in the first inning and Anthony Gose and Jose Iglesias each had a pair of hits and an RBI.

Detroit earned a split of the four-game set with the victory.

The Tigers get a day off after completing a 10-game road trip.

Justin Verlander is on the mound tomorrow as the Tigers play host to the Royals in a three-game series at Comerica Park.

The Royals will send out Danny Duffy.

First pitch is at 7:08 p.m.

The 51-and-54 Tigers are 11-and-a-half games behind Kansas City for first in the AL Central, and 3.5 games back on the second wildcard spot.
