MLB – The Texas Rangers Take 3 Out Of 4 Against The Detroit Tigers

Mitch Moreland doubled in two runs in the sixth inning to put the Rangers ahead for good in a 4-2 win over the Tigers Sunday afternoon.

Cole Hamels outdueled Matt Boyd for his first Texas win as the Rangers took the final three of the four-game series.

Jose Iglesias had an RBI single for Detroit, who fell farther out of the playoff race with the loss

The Tigers make a brief pit stop in Cincinnati tonight to play a makeup game against the Reds.

First pitch is 7:10 p.m.

Buck Farmer starts for Detroit tonight opposite Keyvius Sampson.

The Tigers and Reds had the finale of their four-game series rained out at Great American Ball Park back on June 18th.
