The Detroit Tigers losing streak is up to five games after they fell to the Los Angeles Angels 8-7 Tuesday night.
Alfredo Simon took the loss after giving up eight runs on nine hits and three wild pitches while walking four and striking out two in four and one third innings.
James McCann hit a two-run homerun.
Miguel Cabrera had three RBIs and J.D. Martinez and Nick Castellanos each batted in a run.
The loss drops the Tigers to a season high seven games below .500, tying them for the the last spot in the Central Divison with the Indians.
Tonight, Justin Verlander gets the nod for Detroit, and Hector Santiago will start for Los Angeles.
