MLB – The Detroit Tigers Are Shut Out By The Los Angeles Angels

The Tigers were shut out by the Angels 2-0 yesterday at Comerica Park.

In his second start for Detroit Randy Wolf was charged with the loss after giving up just one run on five hits while striking out five in seven innings.

The Tigers were held to just two hits, as Eastern Michigan University product Matt Shoemaker picked up the win for the Angels.

Detroit begins a six-game road trip tonight with a stop in Toronto for a weekend series before traveling to Kansas City.

Matt Boyd will get the start for the Tigers against his former team in the opener, while the Blue Jays send R.A. Dickey to the mound.

First pitch is 7:07 p.m.
