The Detroit Tigers were beaten again in Toronto as the Blue Jays finished off a three game series sweep with a 9-2 victory.
The Blue Jays slugged four home runs, all in the first four innings to send the Tigers to a fourth straight defeat.
Over the three games in the series, the Tigers were outscored 29-6.
Alfredo Simon took the loss, giving up 6 earned runs over 5 innings of work.
Detroit takes a rest Monday before opening a series at division leading Kansas City Tuesday night.
Elsewhere, Chicago Cubs hurler Jake Arrieta tossed a no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
It was the first no hitter of Arrieta’s career.
It also marked the second time in nine days that the Dodgers have been no hit, the last time by Houston’s Mike Fiers.
