U.S. Open Tennis – Roger Federer And Andy Murray Are Rolling

Roger Federer and Andy Murray are rolling into the second round at the U.S. Open.

The second-seeded Federer made quick work of Leonardo Mayer with a straight-set win.

The third-seeded Murray needed four sets to dispatch of Nick Kyrgios [[ KEER-ee-oss ]].

Other Tuesday winners on the men’s side included fifth-seeded Stan Wawrinka, sixth-seeded Tomas Berdych and 13th-seeded John Isner. American Donald Young also rallied from a two-set deficit to beat 11th-seed Gilles Simon.

On the women’s side, Caroline Wozniacki [[ woze-nee-ACK-ee ]] cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win over American Jamie Loeb.

Second-seeded Simona Halep [[ HAH-lep ]] and fifth-seeded Petra Kvitova [[ kih-VIT-oh-vuh ]] also collected straight-set wins.
