MLB – The Detroit Tigers Beat The Tampa Bay Rays

The Tigers used the long ball as they took the first of a three game series against the Rays, 5-4 Monday afternoon.

Rajai Davis hit a two-run homerun in the third inning and had a solo shot in the seventh.

James McCann added a two-run homer in the fourth.

Starting pitcher Randy Wolf did not figure in the decision, giving up four runs on eight hits while striking out three in four and one third innings.

Al Alburquerque got the win after one scoreless inning in relief.

Bruce Rondon notched his fourth save of the season.

Tonight, Matt Boyd takes the mound for Detroit and Erasmo Ramirez gets the start for Tampa.

First pitch is 7:08 p.m.
