MLB – The Tigers Open Up Cleveland Series With A Loss

The Tigers opened a four-game series against the Indians with a 7-5 loss in Cleveland Thursday night.

Ian Kinsler, Anthony Gose, Nick Castellanos and Andrew Romine each batted in a run.

Starter Alfredo Simon got a no-decision, giving up five runs on nine hits in six innings of work.

Reliever Blaine Hardy was charged with the loss after surrendering the go-ahead two run homerun to Michael Brantley in the eighth inning.

Tonight, Justin Verlander goes for Detroit and Cleveland counters with Cody Anderson.

First pitch is 7:10 p.m.
