The Lions burst out to a quick 21-3 lead but couldn’t sustain it in a 33-28 loss to the Chargers Sunday afternoon.
Matthew Stafford passed for 246 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in defeat.
Keenan Allen caught 15 passes for 166 yards for San Diego.
It didn’t take Ameer Abdullah long to get into the end zone as a pro.
The rookie running back out of Nebraska scored a 24-yard touchdown on his first NFL carry.
Abdullah finished with seven carries for 50 yards, and also caught four passes for another 44 yards.
The Lions play at Minnesota this Sunday.
Aaron Rodgers threw for three touchdowns, two to James Jones, and the Packers beat the
Bears 32 to 23.
Jones caught four passes for 51 yards and the two touchdowns.
Randall Cobb had 38 yards receiving and one touchdown.
Eddy Lacy carried 19 times for 85 yards and one touchdown.
Next week the Packers entertain the Seahawks at Lambeau Field on Sunday Night Football.
