MLB – The White Sox Sweep The Tigers In A Doubleheader

Jeff Samardzija fired a complete game, one-hitter as the White Sox shut out the Tigers 2-0 in the first game of a doubleheader at Comerica Park.

Victor Martinez had the only hit for Detroit with a leadoff single in the fifth inning.

Kyle Ryan took the tough loss for the Tigers.

The White Sox completed a doubleheader sweep of the Tigers with a 3-2 win in the nightcap .

Alex Avila hit a solo homerun for Detroit.

Randy Wolf allowed all three runs in seven innings to fall to 0-and-4.
The Tigers single-A affiliate West Michigan White caps won the Midwest League championship last night with a 3-2 win over Cedar Rapids in game-five of the series.
