MLB – The Chicago Cubs Move On In The Playoffs

Posted on October 14, 2015 in Professional Sports News.

The Chicago Cubs are moving on the National League Championship Series.

Chicago clinched a spot in the NLCS for the first time since 2003 with a 6-4 win over the Cardinals in Game Four of their Division Series at Wrigley Field.

It’s the first time Chicago clinched a postseason series win at home in franchise history.

The Cubs will have to wait to see who they will face in the NLCS after the Dodgers beat the Mets, 3-1, Tuesday evening.
Clayton Kershaw struck out eight over seven innings of one-run ball to help LA force a decisive Game Five in the NLDS by beating the Mets 3 to 1 yesterday..

The Dodgers will host the win-or-go-home game Thursday night.
It’s win or go home for all four American League teams still alive in this year’s playoffs.

A pair of decisive Game Fives are on tap today, with the Toronto Blue Jays hosting the Texas Rangers in the opener of the ALDS doubleheader.

Toronto is looking to become only the sixth team to overcome a 2-0 deficit in a division series.

In the nightcap, the defending AL champion Royals will host the Houston Astros in Kansas City.

The Royals rallied from a four-run hole in the eighth inning on Monday to force Game Five.
