MLB – The New York Mets Are Going To The World Series

Posted on October 22, 2015 in Professional Sports News.

The New York Mets have clinched a spot in the World Series for the first time in 15 years.

The Mets completed a sweep of the Chicago Cubs with an 8-3 win in Game Four of the National League Championship Series.

Daniel Murphy homered for an MLB-record sixth straight playoff game in the victory.

The Mets will have to wait to learn their opponent in the Fall Classic after the Toronto Blue Jays staved off elimination earlier in the day.

Toronto forced a Game Six in the American League Championship Series with a 7-1 win over the Kansas City Royals.

The series will resume in Kansas City on Friday with the Royals holding a 3 games to 2 lead in the best-of-seven set.
