NHL – The Red Wings Gain A Shutout Over The Capitals

Petr Mrazek stopped all 38 shots he faced to help the Red Wings shut out the Capitals, 1-0, Tuesday night at the Joe Louis Arena.

Andreas Athanasiou (ath-an-AYZH-yew) scored his first career goal 4:06 into the third period for Detroit, who improved to 8-6-and-1 and has won four of their last five games.

The Wings host the San Jose Sharks on Friday.
