College Football – Alabama Is The National Champion

Derrick Henry rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns as second-ranked Alabama topped number-one Clemson, 45-40, in a thrilling College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

Jake Coker passed for 335 yards and two scores as the Crimson Tide captured their fourth national title since 2009.

With the score tied at 24, Alabama followed up an onside kick recovery with a go-ahead 51-yard touchdown pass to O.J. Howard with just under 10 minutes to go.

Deshaun Watson threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns for the Tigers, who end the year 14-and-1.

The teams combined to score 40 points in the fourth quarter and 57 in a wild second half.
