NBA – The Pistons Open A Four Game Road Trip With A Win

Posted on January 21, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

The Pistons opened a four game road trip with a 123-114 win over the Rockets in Houston Wednesday night.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Marcus Morris each had 22 points for Detroit, Ersan Ilyasova added 18 points, Andre Drummond had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Reggie Jackson also ended the night with 17 points.

The Pistons tip off against the Pelicans tonight in New Orleans. Game time is 8:00 p.m.

Pistons center Andre Drummond now owns the NBA record for the most missed free throws in a single game.

Drummond missed 23 free throws during Wednesday’s game against the Rockets in Houston. Drummond was intentionally fouled 21 times and went to the line a total of 36 times, which is the third-most in a single game in league history.

Despite his ineptitude at the charity stripe, the Pistons won the game, 123-114.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was fined $10,000 for kicking a chair in the stands as he went to the locker room after being ejected from a game Monday.

The Detroit Pistons guard was ejected with 7.6 seconds left in the third quarter of a 111-101 loss to the Chicago Bulls at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The league announced the fine Wednesday.
