NBA – The Pistons Are At Home Against The Denver Nuggets – Billups Number Retired

Posted on February 10, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

The Pistons host the Denver Nuggets tonight at The Palace in their last action before the All-Star Break.

Detroit is looking to bounce back from a 103-89 loss to Toronto Monday, while Denver had their two-game winning streak halted by Brooklyn earlier this week.

The Pistons will retire Chauncey Billups’ number one jersey during a halftime ceremony tonight.

Billups, known as Mr. Big Shot, played for Detroit from 2002-2008, helping the team to the 2004 NBA Championship where he was named Finals MVP.

This is the second time this season the Pistons have retired a jersey belonging to a member of the 2004 title team.

Last month Ben Wallace’s number 3 jersey was raised to the rafters at The Palace.

NBA Scoreboard:
San Antonio Spurs 119, Miami Heat 101
Washington Wizards 111, New York Knicks 108
Milwaukee Bucks 112, Boston Celtics 111
Utah Jazz 121, Dallas Mavericks 119 (OT)
Golden State Warriors 123, Houston Rockets 110
