NHL – The Red Wings Take A Loss

The Red Wings opened a four-game road trip with a 4-1 loss to the Islanders in Brooklyn Monday afternoon.

Pavel Datsyuk scored Detroit’s only goal in the third period with an assist by Gustav Nyquist.

The Wings went 0-4 on the power play and had 29 shots on goal.

Jimmy Howard, who was looking for his first win since early December, made 28 saves in net in the loss.

The Red Wings will visit the Penguins in Pittsburgh Thursday.
