NHL – The Red Wings Fall Short

Despite two third period goals, the Red Wings fell short against the Blue Jackets losing 5-3 Tuesday night.

Justin Abdelkader, Tomas Tatar and Andreas Athanasiou each scored for Detroit.

Jimmy Howard turned aside 27 shots in the loss, the Wings third in a row.

Detroit hosts the Winnipeg Jets at Joe Louis Arena tomorrow.
