The University of Michigan tips off in the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis today.
Eight seed Michigan, 20-11 overall and 10-8 in the Big Ten, opens postseason play against ninth-seed Northwestern, 20-11 overall and 8-10 in the conference, at noon.
The winner of today’s game will meet number one seed Indiana in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
In last night’s opening round games, 12th-seed Illinois blew out 13th-seed Minnesota 85-52, and 11th-seed Nebraska took care of 14th-seed Rutgers 89-72.
