MBL – The Tigers Get A Good Win

Posted on April 15, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

Jordan Zimmerman pitched six shutout innings as the Detroit Tigers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-4 on Thursday.

Third baseman Nick Castellanos would power Detroit’s offensive attack with three hits and four rbi’s.

J.D. Martinez’s sacrifice fly made it 5-3 and Castellanos followed with a shot a few rows deep into the sun-splashed bleachers in left field at PNC Park.

Castellanos also had a double.

The Tigers are 6 and 2 so far in the young season.

Detroit heads to Houston for a three-game series tonight.

Tonight’s game starts at 8:00

Mike Pelfrey will look for a better outing than his 2016 debut, when he gave up six runs in 3 2/3 innings against the Yankees.
