MLB – The Detroit Tigers Fall

Posted on April 27, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

The Detroit Tigers fell to Oakland 5-1 last night at Comerica Park.

Tiger starter Mike Pelfrey allowed five runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings and his record fell to 0-4 with a 4.64 era.

University of Michigan product Mike Hill improved his record to 3-2 after seven shutout innings.

Game three of the four game series is tonight.

The first pitch is at 7:10.

Justin Verlander is scheduled to pitch for the Tigers against Oakland’s Sonny Gray.

Tiger outfielder Tyler Collins will not be suspended by Major League Baseball for an obscene gesture towards the fans at Comerica park Monday night.

The gesture occurred after he was booed for losing a fly ball in the lights.
