MLB – The Tigers Win The Opener Against The Twins

Posted on May 17, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

Home runs from Ian Kinsler, J.D. Martinez and Nick Castellanos powered the Tigers to a 10 – 8 win over the Minnesota Twins in last night’s opener of a three-game series at Comerica Park.

The Tigers Scored eight of those runs in the first inning.

It was a short night for manager Brad Ausmus, who was kicked out of the game in the 4th inning, after arguing balls-and-strikes with home plate umpire Doug Eddings.

Last night’s win was just the third for the Tigers in the last 14 games.

The series continues tonight.

Phil Hughs will start for the Twins and Mike Pelfrey takes the mound for Detroit.

Game time is 7:10.
