The Tigers extend their winning streak to 4……as they beat the Minnesota Twins, 6 to 3, in yesterday’s finale of a three-game series at Comerica Park.
It was a milestone game for Justin Verlander……he got career strikeout number 2,000, when he fanned the twins’ Eddie Rosario in the top of the 4th inning.
Verlander finished the game with a season-high 10 strikeouts, and that helped him to earn his first win since April 27th.
Ian Kinsler slammed another home run and had two RBI’s in the win.
The Tigers are off today.
They start a weekend series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday at Comerica Park.
