MLB – The Tigers Win Again

Posted on May 25, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

The Tigers now have eight wins in the last nine games.

They knocked off the Philadelphia Phillies, 3 to 1, last night at Comerica Park last night.

It was a very good outing for Justin Verlander.

He struck out 10 over eight innings to earn the win.

It was the first time this year that the veteran right-hander has won in back-to-back starts.

Miguel Cabrera drove in two runs and Victor Martinez drove in the other one.

It was a milestone game for closer Francisco Rodriguez,

He picked up career save number 400 last night.

‘K-Rod’ became just the sixth pitcher since 1969 to reach the 400 save mark for their careers.
