MLB – The Yankees Beat The Tigers

Posted on June 3, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

Jacoby Ellsbury’s two-run triple in the top of the 7th inning powered the New York Yankees to a 5 to 4 win over the Tigers in last night’s make-up game at Comerica Park.

Left-hander Matt Boyd got the start and took the loss.

He actually pitched pretty well – taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning – but he ultimately gave up four runs and six hits over his six-and-a-third innings of work.

The Tigers open up a three game weekend series with the Chicago White Sox tonight at Comerica Park.

Game time is 7:10

Jordan Zimmermann will start for the Tigers and The White Sox counter with Carlos Rodon.
