Posted on July 12, 2016 in Professional Sports News.

The best players in Major League Baseball have gathered in San Diego for the 87th annual All-Star game tonight at Petco Park.

Chicago White Sox left-hander Chris Sale will get the start for the American League.

San Francisco Giants’ right-hander Johnny Cueto will start for the National League.

First pitch is at 8:00.

There’s only one Tiger in tonight’s All-Star Game and it’s Miguel Cabrera.

Miggy will back-up Kansas City Royals’ Eric Hosmer at first base for the American League.

Last night, the Miami Marlins’ Giancarlo Stanton crushed a total of 61 home runs to win baseball’s Home Run Derby.

Defending champion Todd Frazier finished in second place.

Stanton’s 61 slams are a new record for the event.
